The contributions for the competition The Golden City Gate will be proposed for a category by its contributors. The organiser of the competition reserves the rights to allocate submitted contributions to another category as indicated by the submitter, if seen as necessary by the organiser and if the chances to win an award increase.
The international jury may divide and enlarge the categories city, hotel and spot in different groups.
The submitted contributions (films) will be judged by ca 45 independent international experts. The jury is being accredited newly every year and consists of representatives of the city-hotel- and tourism branch, city marketing, advertising agencies, film score producers, art, students, journalists, organisations, embassies and government service.
The judges are split up into two groups. The first group judges all contributions of all categories and chooses the first three awards for The Golden City Gate.
The second group chooses the Diamond-Award out of all first awards of all categories.
The jury decides on the awarding of the prizes. The decision of the international panel of experts is binding. Any recourse to courts of law is excluded.
